Welcome to new readers and especially anyone who found me by accident looking for someone with a very similar name. I am not the lady who was on television cooking, apparently very well.
I am a lady (well opinions are divided, depends who you speak to) artist and writer. Information can be found in the permanent content by clicking on headings to the right of this column.

I have been a writer all my life; a magazine writer for the last 15 years. I enjoy the freedom of writing for my own site so much that I have been known to post every day, though the usual week would include two longer articles, usually humorous and midweek snippets. It has become obvious since starting two months ago that readers are viewing the written content on Monday and Friday mornings, or Monday morning and Friday afternoon, so I do try to have something cheerful posted then. Most of the humour is posted under the flag of ‘The parrot has landed’ but I sometimes forget to classify entries, so do look at the other archives.
Should you, by an outside chance, be a publisher looking for a comic novel, I’ve got one of those looking for a publisher. If you are a silver surfer a bit worried about the dreadful stuff you’ve heard is on the Internet, you won’t find anything to give you nightmares here. If you are reading this in translation, well done; if the jokes don’t quite translate, don’t worry, humour is cultural but a smile is universal, on this planet, at least.
