Greetings Microcosmonauts! is how I started my paper catalogues for the last fifteen years and Microcosm was, and still is, the name of my porcelain doll making venture. If you are a Microcosmonaut of old, this is a little posting to warn you that we have gone global-ish, in case you have had your eye on something in the shop.
Constructing a website to replace the paper catalogue has been more work than any reasonable individual would have imagined at the outset that it was going to be. It’s been very mega, nearly every waking minute and every bit as creative as looking into a bucket of liquid mud and seeing people (which I do all the time.) It’s also been very enjoyable and has already reached new Microcosmonauts in more than 20 countries.
Up to date, however, I have not advertised the doll shop as such, except in Galatea but now I think we’re ready to say we’re here and have therefore taken out Google search engine advertisements in the top four JaneLaverick.com reading countries. These should come into effect within 12 hours of this posting, or thereabouts. So if you’re a loyal Microcosmonaut with a wish list, don’t leave it too long.
There is always the possibility that the ads may make no difference or dint in the collective conscious, or, they could! If I could predict the future, this would be a horoscope site. I can slightly, here are some predictions for 2010:
2010 will begin in January and go all the way through to December.
The Derby will be won by-
a horse.
There will be a big lottery win during the year, in a country.
Technology will continue to advance and mobile phone ringtones will become ever more annoying.
Many people will choose to take their summer holidays during the warmer weather, except in very hot countries.
There will be further predictions on this site in a few weeks.
There will be additions to the lovely things for sale in the shop, all the time and whenever I make them.
The humorous blogs on this page will continue to be free and fun.
It will be Christmas soon and the post will be chaotic, shoppers would be well advised to get their order in sooner rather than later.
