In case you have been reading the descriptions of the new items in the shop I should explain that as we get down to the small stuff I find measurements such as one and eleven sixteenths of an inch very unwieldy. Therefore I give reasonable approximations in both inchworms and centipedes and when we get down to the really small stuff such as the dolls’ house dolls’ house dolls it’ll be millipedes only. Because they’re easier to count on a ruler is why, also I used to make jewellery long ago and find mm come rather naturally to me. I think in mm, how sad is that?
If in doubt as to whether a doll is suitable for your house take the measurement in either system, cut a strip of paper that length and make sure it will go through your doors and, if it had a face on the top of the strip, look through the windows.
Quarter scale, one forty-eighth, is one the way. When we get that small I’ll tell you whose houses they’ll fit in, I’m currently aiming for the Greenleaf village and Judith Dowden.
More silliness shortly.
