Just a brief posting to let you know that I am aware of the need for more practical help for would-be doll makers on the site. I do have plans for ‘how to’ articles on many topics that I’ve covered in various publications over the years. This site is a bit like a magazine that comes out three times a week with only one writer, so whilst everything will be there eventually, it does take time to do.
At present, as you know, I’m trying to get about three hundred items photographed and then computerified so you can play with the dolls online. Please don’t be alarmed if some of the first dolls onsite disappear in the next few days, if your had your eye on one, I’m re-photographing them for technical reasons.
Meanwhile if there are articles you wish to see on the site please let me know. If you are a Microcosm customer of yore (well done for finding the site, especially paper catalogue addicts) the planned order of getting things in the shop is: big dolls, twelfth scale, 24th scale and smaller and not dolls (including oil paintings and porcelain items that are not dolls). Bargain corner will appear throughout.
Thank you for your patience so far, the site is heading in the direction that so many people asked for, namely: like a magazine but more often and free and a lot of funny ha ha and specific dolls to buy whenever you wanted with a plastic card.
If you’re enjoying it please tell your friends. If there’s something I did in magazines that you think is missing here, please tell me. That was the end of the adverts from Pearl, Dean and me, if you’ve been to the loo, got your choc ice, chucked popcorn everywhere and sat painfully on the keys that were in your fleece pocket after all, please resume your seat, the next feature will follow shortly.
