It’s hard to tell you, just before a show, with every second accounted for, how much panic can be induced by having to take a day out to lie in a hospital bed. I’m off for tests tomorrow so all I have time for now is to show you a couple of blurry pics of some furry moccasins I’ve been making.
There are twenty of them but there won’t be ten Native American dolls because they have to have a papoose and only six papoose ( papooses? papice?) came through all the processes. The Chinese dolls are done, but no time to show you them, because there are still more to do and doll stands for everyone to invent and produce.
Aargh! I wish I could have my hospital day back to work in.
The new AIM magazine is out
including a funny article by me and some amazing stuff by members, who really are a talented bunch. It’s a double issue and jam packed with features. You can find it at www.artisansinminiature.com I hope it will keep you going with reading material until I find some time from somewhere to write. In theory I’m doing a charity show at a golf club the Saturday after Scottish Miniatura too, so blogs are likely to be patchy and absent entirely until life gets back to normal, in about a fortnight.
Please remember things will vanish from the shop soon to go to Scotland where people may just come along and buy them (fair visitors do that) ( and so do the dark ones). If there is a doll you particularly wanted please claim it before Monday.
JaneLaverick.com in a rush.
